Prep time: 10 mins
Cook time: 4-6 hrs
Serves: 4+ people
SPICE MIX:
- 1 1/2 tsp cayenne pepper
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 tsp black pepper
- 1 1/2 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp oregano
- 1 tsp mixed herbs
OTHER INGREDIENTS:
- 500g minced lamb
- Pitta bread to serve
- Other sides of your choice (salad, chips, wedges or whatever you choose)
METHOD:
- Mix all the spices
- Put the mince in a bowl, add spice mix and mix really well (you may need to get quite heavy handed).
- Form into a loaf and wrap in foil
- Place in slow cooker for approx 4-6 hours on high
- Once cooked, let it rest for 10 mins before you carve
NOTES FROM THE FEEDING FOLKESTONE TEAM:
We’re going to try this out in a normal oven too and see what temperature/timings it needs. We also suggest that you could try serving it in one of Rupa’s Rotis!
