Sarah’s Fake-away kebab

Prep time: 10 mins

Cook time: 4-6 hrs

Serves: 4+ people

SPICE MIX:

  • 1 1/2 tsp cayenne pepper
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp black pepper
  • 1 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp oregano
  • 1 tsp mixed herbs

OTHER INGREDIENTS:

  • 500g minced lamb
  • Pitta bread to serve
  • Other sides of your choice (salad, chips, wedges or whatever you choose)

METHOD:

  • Mix all the spices
  • Put the mince in a bowl, add spice mix and mix really well (you may need to get quite heavy handed).
  • Form into a loaf and wrap in foil
  • Place in slow cooker for approx 4-6 hours on high
  • Once cooked, let it rest for 10 mins before you carve

NOTES FROM THE FEEDING FOLKESTONE TEAM:

We’re going to try this out in a normal oven too and see what temperature/timings it needs. We also suggest that you could try serving it in one of Rupa’s Rotis!
